Privacy

How we handle your information.

This covers the personal data Ashthorne HiFi collects when you get in touch, book an appointment, or have work carried out, and what we do with it.

What we collect

Your name, phone number, and email address if you give it, when you book an appointment, request a time, or contact us. Details of your enquiry: make and model, what's wrong or what you'd like done, and any photos you send. The date and time of any booking, and a record of which version of our terms you agreed to.

What we use it for

To arrange and manage your appointment, keep you updated on your job, and carry out the work you've asked for. To keep a record of completed jobs for warranty purposes. We don't use your details for marketing, and we don't sell or share them beyond what's needed to run the business.

Who we share it with

Booking confirmations are sent through Brevo, our email delivery provider, purely to get your booking details to us as a calendar invite — they don't use your data for anything else. Service records published on the Records page never include your name or contact details, only what was done to the unit.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and job records for as long as needed to cover the 90-day warranty, and afterwards for our own tax and business records, typically up to six years, in line with HMRC requirements.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to what we're legally required to keep for tax purposes. Contact us using the details on the Contact page.
